Apple’s new MacBook Pro chips may be called the M1 Pro and M1 Max

Leaks are still poured only in the day before the Apple “Unleashed” event began. According to Macrumor, Mark Gurman Mark Bloomberg understands the chip for the MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches which are expected widely appeared in the developer log log with the name “M1 Pro” and “M1 Max.” This is not a certain Apple will use these names for the high-end silicone, but they suggest Apple will not go with M1x or echo naming schemes used for the A-Series Soup chip.

Rumors have previously hinted on two processors destined for new MacBook pro. Both will include 10 cores (eight high performance, two high efficiency). The ‘entry’ version will include a 16-core GPU, while the upper class model will package 32-core GPU. It is roughly lined up with the naming scheme of M1 Pro and M1 Max. Another rumor has pointed to the sequel directly to the M1 base, M2, arrived at the beginning of 2022 next to the new MacBook air.

Gurman also reaffirmed the expected change from the MacBook Pro Redesign. Both laptops will include a mini-LED display with a higher resolution. They can bring back the welcome connector such as the magsafe power port, HDMI and SD card slot. You might also see support up to 64GB RAM and the death of the touch bar.

It won’t be surprising if Apple brings a pro and max naming scheme to the computer CPU. If Apple will replace all Intel chips with an in-house processor, as planned, clearer names may be needed to help buyers understand the difference in performance between the model. If Apple uses the name Max M1 Pro and M1, which will speak volume about the possibility of the chip name strategy forward.
